On Saturday June 14th, 2025, and Sunday June 15th, 2025, we had a celebration of our 10th Anniversary. Saturday included a couple of live music sets in the back yard. I pulled out the Bare Bones canopy and my old audio system from the shows I put on in Cincinnati at Covenant and my basement on Witler (as well as the one use while in Pittsburgh for Dylan and Amber Rooke's wedding). I spent a good amount of the afternoon running the cords and cables to get power where needed and audio as well. I missed the showing of Idiocracy, unfortunately. We bought some Falco's Pizza and made both a venison stew and a vegan soup for folks to eat. We also bought cupcakes from Smallcakes in downtown Chicago which were great! At around 8pm, we had the live music play. Cecily started the night with a few instrumental tunes on her fiddle and banjo. Her partner, Ignacio, joined on hand drums for the banjo set. Leper also played a short set with Cecily joining on keys. She had played in Leper for a time some years ago and I always thought she brought something cool to Leper during her years in the band.

We had Skot play Haunt at our wedding so when he agreed to do a Leper set for this party, we wanted Haunt in the set and thankfully he was able to oblige. We decided to have all the werewolf songs as well as Bat. Skot added in a couple others, Where Is Thy Sting? and If I Should Die. Both are songs I helped make music videos for.
After the music, I started up a fire and most folks hung out in the yard. I went through a stash of fireworks and found that we had a bunch of firecrackers, some whistling rockets, and a bunch of sparklers. We mostly played around with the sparklers. I lit off some whistling rockets in the back alley.
On Sunday, we played our wedding video I put together. I didn't have the engagement or a couple of other clips that are in the YouTube playlist so we played those separately. We also put on the Rocky Horror Picture Show. After this, most everyone had left so I put the canopy away then started another fire to use up the rest of the wood we bought. It was a good party and we had a good number of friends show up as well. This was nice considering some concerns of civil unrest in the city with protests planned to be happening that day. It seems those events remained peaceful as hoped with little if any provocateurs invading to cause trouble.
