Video Clips From Pittsburgh Shows: November & December 2012

I moved to Pittsburgh on November 24th, 2012. Less than a week later, my friend Derek Zanetti played a set as The Homeless Gospel Choir opening along with a few other locals for Paul Baribeau in Pittsburgh at 222 Ormsby, a sweet DIY space. It was good to get to a show...I'm glad a friend was performing at it as well.

I included a clip from each artist that performed at 222 Ormsby on 11.29.12:

LIVE clips from The Smiling Moose: 01.03.13

On Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 some friends were traveling through Pittsburgh from Cincinnati. It was the first band from where I used to live that I got to see on tour where I live now. The promotion wasn't the best that night, the situation wasn't the most ideal for those performing but it was good to see the folks in Corpus Christi and meet the guys in Conquerors as well as the locals - Until We Have Faces and Andare. These are clips of each performance that night filmed using a Sony HD Bloggie and edited using Final Cut Pro on a Mac Mini.

Detroit - 1.19 & 20.13

I made my first ever trip to Detroit, MI this past weekend by way of Columbus, OH to pick up Marco Castor to see Underoath, mewithoutYou, As Cities Burn, and LetlLive on the farewell tour for Underoath. Unfortunately we ran a little late so I got in the venue just as LetLive was finishing up but I did get clips of the rest of the bands.

I also filmed a little of the sights of Detroit after my friend, Otto who hosted us for the night, spoke of the "ruins" of Detroit and possibly taking us on a tour. Though we weren't able to go on the tour as we would have liked, I drove around a bit prior to leaving to see a few of these "ruins," downtown, Canada, and the arenas and stadiums. We also happened to see a house fire on the way out. So, here are the clips:

The Detroit Visit (01.20.13) *music used in this clip is "Lose Yourself" by Eminem & "Detroit" by Rancid
