Summer Music Festival Footage - Part 1: Kingdom Come Festival

I found out about Kingdom Come Festival which was held in Kokomo, Indiana by my friends in Corpus Christi. With the demise of Cornerstone I figured I'd give it a shot believing some sort of Cornerstone type event would be held during the following week - the traditional Cornerstone week. Later I found that other friends, Grave Robber would be playing. Unfortunately Corpus Christi was unable to play but were replaced by Take The Name. Though I didn't plan to attend the entire festival, I did want to see these two bands. They played on different days so that meant figuring out a sleeping arrangement since this was not a camping festival.

This ended up being my official Summer Festival kick off (though a couple weeks prior there was a small one day event called Solid Rock & Metal Fest in Pennsylvania that I attended & filmed - it's in a previous post). I took some much needed time away from work and travelled for about two weeks starting in the Cincinnati area where I caught a show (footage also posted previously) and spent time with friends - one of which travelled to the rest of the festivals with me.

We arrived on Friday night at the festival in Kokomo, Indiana. We arrived just before Children 18:3 played and after that was Grave Robber:

We ended up staying at a church (I can't for the life of me remember it's name nor the name of the youth pastor that worked this out but Thank you!)

Saturday morning we were fed by those same gracious people at another church and made our way back to the park where this festival took place. It rained...and rained...and rained. I started thinking about leaving without watching Take The Name but there as a bit of a break in the rain so we decided to give it a go and were able to not get too soaked while watching two bands: Silver From The Flames & Take The Name. Silver From The Flames are ranging in ages from 8-15 years old. They are all siblings. It was pretty amazing to see such young kids play as good of a set as they did. Take The Name was as good as i remembered so I was glad to stick around.

After that was the trip to Chicago & onto Audiofeed Festival. The real adventure I suppose began as we left...
